The NG tube was placed around noon today. It was a horribly traumatic experience. It still wasn't in the right place when I left the hospital. Larry is with her now. It is quite selfish but I can't be up there constantly. Seeing her in pain and being given more difficult information about what she has to go through has my heart broken at this time. She is a strong girls and I admire her for her bravery. She is a better woman that myself.
The new twist is that we brought up the fact that they put weight on her and then she just loses it again. We discussed the option of a PEG with the dietician today. A PEG is a percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy. It would be a little tube sticking out her tummy. We could then hook her up to feedings when her weight drops. It would be forever kind of situation. It would make it so we could give her nutrition without having PICC lines or NG tubes. The idea of surgery is scary but the fact that it would solve the other issues is reassuring. Again they won't attempt a surgical procedure on her until she is nutritionally sound so that her body will heal afterwards.

Alicia and I are praying for you all. Kylee, we want God to enable these doctors to find a suitable longterm solution for this, so you can live a normal teenage life.
