News...

Once again I apologize for the length of time in between updates. Life has been pretty busy and I just keep forgetting to sit down and do it. The most recent news is that I have been having pain and nausea after eating or after hooking up to my tube feed. I saw my surgeon a week ago friday and during the physical exam while he was pressing on my stomach I felt pain when he pressed up under my right rib cage. (Where your liver and gallbladder are located) Normally that is not a painful area for me so he said that it could be my gallbladder causing the problem. He said I am not the typical candidate of someone to have gallstones but for some people who have "funky" nutritional needs/habits it can mess with your gall bladder and cause it to go into what he called "sludge mode". And this would also cause pain and nausea after eating because my digestive system would be getting up and working again. So I had an ultrasound this morning to see if that is the problem. If so, then I will have surgery to remove it. I am kind of hoping that it is my gallbladder because if not then it is my crohn's and they don't know what to do for me. So if it is my gallbladder then we can just take care of it and I'll feel better. Other news is that I finally got Kaiser to approve me for acupuncture. I applied under insomnia, TMJ, and stress/anxiety but he is also treating my crohn's. I have had 3 appointments so far and it is going well. He puts in more needles than I had even had before. My first appointment he put in 33, then the next one was 31, and today he put in 30. so it is quite a few but it is because he is treating so many things. I am hoping that this will also help me to feel better.
Other info is... I am nannying for me cousin on thursdays and fridays, and nannying for some friends of our on Mondays and Tuesdays. So I am busier then ever. I went to register for classes today and all the online ones I wanted were full so I emailed the professors asking if they would let me join and I am waiting to hear back so if you could pray that I will be able to get in that would be wonderful because it is kind of stressful. I am trying not to worry about it but I do need to be full time otherwise it affects scholarships and even my car insurance price. :( I did get into the Biology class I needed so Saturdays from 9-11:50am I will have class and then from 1-3:50pm I will have lab. So my saturdays will be taken up but I don't have much choice since I am working 4 days a week. Also I have found a place to move to. Another family from our church offered to have me live with them. They have a very nice room and bathroom that is kind of off to the back of the house so it will be private. They are a super nice family and I am really looking forward to it. And for rent I will help the mother out around the house and maybe watch the kids off and on. :) They live in willsonville so a little further from home but I still think it will be a good fit. :) They also have a pool and a jacuzzi in their back yard, and a beautiful golden retriever that looks like a puppy, added perks. :) Well I think that is almost everything. Oh, I also have started seeing a counselor through Kaiser to help with stress and anxiety and just so that I can vent/talk to someone about everything that is going on because it gets crazy sometimes and I am the type of person who likes to talk and process things so just to have someone listen is helpful. She is awesome and I am so thankful to have gotten set up with her. I am also getting more involved at our church and it makes me excited. I help in the nursery everyother saturday night and might help with projecting the lyrics on sunday mornings and I am am going to join a college age small group which will be really nice to connect and meet others around my age. I have also started helping with a program called 789JAM which is a dance that our church hosts, and there is a DJ and they have raffles and food and drinks and kids just dance and hang out. The reason it is called 789JAM is because it is for 7th, 8th and 9th graders. So if any of you have children in that age group it is open to anyone in the community. The next one is September 11th. If you want more info let me know. I will be helping at it again. They are going to try and do some sort of an event once a month.
Alright now I think that is everything. :) If you could just pray for my ultrasound results/pain and nausea that would be great. and also just stress - right now I have a lot of things going on. More than I have had in a really long time and I love it all but I just don't want to wear myself out, and I want to make sure and have time to get my school stuff done and have some relax time for myself when I am not working. Also one last thing, and I feel funny asking for prayer for this, but it is on my mind and causing some stress. I have used up all the money I had saved for school last year and so now I am trying to figure out how I am going to pay for classes and books. I know there are loans and things but I was really wanting to just be able to pay for it as I go and not develop debt. But with classes, books, car payments, and paying for gas. Money seems to be gone as soon as I make it. So just prayer that I will relax and be able to find a solution that I am happy with. Thank you all for your prayers and I hope this updates you as far as what has been going on in my life.

Hi Kylee Gal! So glad to get another update from you, I always keep you in my prayers.
The accupuncture thing sounds good, have you noticed any results? Shall we just call you Miss Pincushion???
Sounds like you are keeping busy, what with nannying, moving to a new place, and school. We are hoping we will get to see you when we come thru Portland in October, heading for Gleneden.
Take care, and remember, God loves you!
Love, Granny
